Ron Westdorp

Founding Partner

Ron graduated in 1983 as a business economist from the HEAO in Alkmaar and in 1995 completed the postgraduate training of Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA). From 1984 he worked as portfolio manager and option specialist at “Bureau. W.B.O. (Scientific Investment Research)” the largest Multi Family Office in the Netherlands. In 1986 he co-founded the institutional options desk at ING which became the largest market participant on the European Options Exchange in Amsterdam. Thereafter he joined Credit Suisse in Amsterdam and moved to Goldman Sachs London in 1994 as an institutional investment advisor. After more than eight years at Goldman Sachs he joined GLG Partners, one of the world’s largest providers of hedge fund products, where he was responsible for advisory and relationship management in the Benelux and Scandinavia to both institutional and private clients. In 2006 Ron cofounded Taler Asset Management (Gibraltar) Ltd

Charles Vivian Smith

Founding Partner

Charles received his training in London at NM Rothschild & Sons (`NMR’) the UK merchant bank. Firstly, in the Venture Capital team and subsequently in Rothschild Asset Management. Charles studied international business at Boston University and got his BA from Schiller IU in London. Whilst at NMR he completed a City of London Financial diploma and, undertook extensive bank and finance training. After leaving the bank in 1994 he moved to Indochina founding a business in Vietnam, on whose board he served from inception in 1995 to Oct 2017. Charles returned to Europe in 2003 remaining in Private Equity and venture capital. In 2009 he was hired to run a Resource focused private equity company specialising in South America. Charles is a dedicated business developer and originator specialising in smaller company finance and financial modelling.

Christiana Otto


Christiana co-founded and held the position of Managing Partner of Singularis Advisors for 7 years. During that time, plus the 3 years prior to Singularis, she bridged between investors, above all Family Offices, and funds or projects looking to raise capital in a shorter and more cost efficient way. Philip van den Berg

Founding Partner

Philip graduated cum laude in economics in 1985 at the University of Amsterdam. During his career on the sell-side, he held various positions within research departments both as investment analyst and head of research. Most of his experience on the sell side was with Goldman Sachs in London where he was founding member of the European research department and acted as a member of the investment committee. In 1997 Philip moved to the buy-side as co-founder of Olympus Capital Management, one of the first European hedge funds (long short equity). In 2006 Philip co-founded Taler Asset Management (Gibraltar) Ltd.

Wessel Marquering

Quantitative Strategist

Wessel graduated cum laude in Econometrics at the University of Tilburg and subsequently received his Ph.D. in Financial Economics at the University of Leuven with his doctorate on modeling stock market returns and volatility. Until 2006 Wessel was Assistant Professor at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and during that period he published in highly regarded financial journals including the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Banking and Finance and the Journal of Financial Econometrics. Wessel was a visiting professor at University of California San Diego in 2004. He holds the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) charter since 2007 and the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) charter since 2009. Wessel is specialized in financial modelling and risk management and has more than 12 years experience as a financial practitioner.

Ecometals Limited (TSXV:EC)


Levantis Wealth Control provided management consulting services to the Board of Ecometals Limited, a Toronto Venture Exchange Listed company (TSXV:EC) whose principal asset is ~5-8 m tonnes of stockpiled manganese ore in Macapa state, North Western Brazil. The company which is being restructured also owns Iron ore and gold (`Au´) mining concessions in South America including concessions adjacent to Lundin Golds US$1.25bn Fruta del Norte project in Ecuador.

The Arches

We re-developed in the historic old town of Gibraltar an iconic arched building that dates back to 1905. Many of The Arches original features such as the 2.80m high ceilings have been retained, whilst interiors are being fitted to a high standard modern offering. In November 2018 The Arches was awarded by the Government of Gibraltar the Heritage Award for 2018.

WelMac B.V.


Welmac is a privately controlled Agricultural investment company headquartered in The Netherlands with investments in Southern Africa and Europe. It aims to become the largest producers of Macadamia in the world. Currently, Welmac owns a producing farm and nursery in South Africa and with investment from The ForestEffect Fund, the operation is being expanded and upgraded to the best available standards with regards to farm management, resource efficiency and optimal water usage. The operations in South Africa include a large-scale nursery for macadamia trees, an automated ferti-irrigation system that reduces water consumption significantly and the ability to semi process the macadamia products on site. Levantis expects to provide financing advisory services to the company.

America Indochina Management Ltd (`AIM´) is a privately controlled trading, distribution and industrial services business operating in Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos) since 1994. The company has offices and warehouse throughout Indochina from where it has supplied some of the most Iconic commercial projects in the regions 25 years of modernisation. A Levantis founding partner (& founder Investor of AIM) provided management consulting, & financial advisory services to the company whilst a Director of the Board of the company until 2017.

Mohammad Al Duaij


Mohammad graduated from Leeds University Business School in 2002 with an accounting and finance honour degree. Mohammad started his career at Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development as part of the Asian projects funding team followed by Global Investment House as Investment Manager forming and managing real estate funds globally. Since 2008, he is the Managing Director of a single family office and his responsibilities compromise of investment in real estate, private equity, investment advisory, commodities trading and retail business. Mohammad earns his experience from transacting with diversified projects and dealing with distinguished parties globally. Mohammad is a surfer and mountain climber that reflects in his work to be a challenger and virtuous. He also follows the family’s philosophy to create the opportunity instead of waiting for it.

Magnus Orgard


Magnus is a senior financial executive with 25 years of investment banking, capital markets and fintech experience. During the last two years worked in the blockchain space and was part of the management team that built TokenMarket into Europe’s premier tokenized issuance platform. During his London based banking career (Stormharbour, AIGFP, WestLB, RBS) led major derivatives transactions across asset classes (credit, commodity, equity, fixed income). Strong background in structured finance, securitisations, corporate finance. Clients have included various governments, major financial institutions, multinational corporations, pension funds, insurance companies and fund managers. Extensive management, origination, fundraising, legal, regulatory, buy and sell side experience. Holds an MBA from Cass Business School, London and BSc Econ/BA from Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law.

Diane Moss


Ms. Moss is a senior International Executive with over 20 years’ experience in the Funds sector. She was the founder of a Fund Administration Business based in Gibraltar which within a few years had multiple billions of assets under management. She then successfully negotiated the acquisition of this Company by the FTSE100 Company, Capita Group PLC.
Before joining Levantis Wealth Control, She was Managing Director of Inveniam Gibraltar which is an early leader in the digital marketplace.

She has served on behalf of the Gibraltar Investment Funds Association as well as has lectured and spoken at various International Fund Conferences. She is also a Board Member and Vice President of the US Chamber of Commerce – Gibraltar (AMCHAM), which promotes commercial, educational and cultural relationships between the US and Gibraltar/Europe.

Marit van der Weg

Marit graduated as an economist in 1996 at the University of Maastricht, having previously obtained a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Nijenrode Business School. She completed the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management and is a Chartered Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.

Marit was senior private banker at Credit Suisse Private Banking and ABN AMRO Private Banking, where she acquired and maintained an international portfolio of private and fund clients. She was associate director at Societe Generale Private Banking, before setting up her consultancy firm, Silverline Administration Limited in 2013. Silverline assists financial companies with their regulatory, corporate governance and compliance set up in Gibraltar.

At Levantis Marit works as a compliance advisor and consultant to the Board.

Lieor van Os

Levantis – Israel

Lieor Van Os, based in Tel Aviv, leads Levantis Isreal. After being inspired by the medical cannabis success story of his sister in law, he then completed his studies in Medical Cannabis – Technological and BusinessEntrepreneurship, Medical aspects and Growth Methods from the Israel Institute of Technology in 2015.

Lieor started his career at the trust office of Erez Management in Amsterdam which is the family business. In 2007 while studying for his BBA in International Business and Management Studies at the University of Applied Sciences of Amsterdam, he initiated and set up the successful property management division of the company. Prior to permanently relocating to Tel Aviv, he spent one year in Gibraltar with Erez Management and Levantis Wealth Control.

He began his personal passion into visual communications in 2012 as a photographer, production leader and creative director on many international marketing campaigns in Amsterdam and Tel Aviv. Lieors’strong business background coupled with his intellectual dedication and creative arts experience provides the platform where he is becoming an influencer for the Millennial generation for Medical Cannabis.

Robin van Reijendam

Partner, Business Development

Robin began his career in 2004 in Costa Rica, working in advertising. He later moved to the Netherlands as a brand and marketing consultant, focusing on international companies in the UK, US and China.

Robin joined Adoreum in 2009 where was Head of Insight, responsible for building their database and develop a deeper understanding of how to target individuals and businesses in the high net worth space.

In 2013 he was a founding team member of Invest Africa, founded by the South African Investor Rob Hersov to provide a specialised network to support private and institutional investors, funds and High-Net-Worth individuals to engage with opportunities in Africa.

Robin joined Levantis in 2019 where he focuses on marketing & communications, systems and business development.
